Artists have painted many drains across town the last few years, and in summer 2019, Sustainable RIVER students revitalized many of those that were weathered. Three businesses have paid for new designs for more drains in Summer 2020. Who would like to create them?

Painted drains help bring awareness to storm drain pollution, reminding community members that stormwater drains directly into the Vermillion and Missouri Rivers, carrying with it pollution and litter. This pollution has an impact on fish and wildlife, as well as clean water for recreation, drinking,  and the natural beauty of our community.
